I`m a businessman. I realised a long time ago that street smarts are a major aspect of businesspeople. And a guy with street smarts knows that business itself doesn’t play any role in things. It`s just a game, and we are in it because we enjoy it while it lasts. I was in Moscow 2 years ago, and what can I say? It’s very easy to get along with people and make a deal there. The greatest success comes when you go against the stream. There are many ways to make a career, but the surest way is to be born into the right family. It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep. There is nothing more criminal to your financial well-being than to come up with a great idea and not bother to implement it. Passion is much more important than the mind or talent. I’ve had to see some rather talented and very clever people fail because they lack passion. It's a cruel world. People will try to destroy you, either to impress others, or just for the fun of it. Always see the best in people, but expect the worst. Many people look at successful people and only see the end result. They don’t see all the work that was necessary to reach the top. That`s why they attribute success to good luck. I look at it differently. I say, “Sure, they’re lucky! They rolled up their sleeves and worked hard!” It may be unfair, but I am convinced that luck exists. If you have any doubts, simply trust in yourself and imagine yourself winning. No one else will do it for you. Don`t look for encouragement from others and don`t cling to those around you.
