Milaidhoo Maldives: The Ultimate Ocean Residence

Alex
June 23, 2026

Milaidhoo Maldives sits on the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and home to Hanifaru Bay — one of the world’s most famous manta ray feeding stations. From May to November, pods of manta rays migrate to the region in numbers that make snorkelling alongside them genuinely spectacular. The resort has just introduced an overwater Two-Bedroom Ocean Residence at the end of its lagoon jetty — a 564-square-metre private villa designed for up to six guests.

Two spacious bedrooms, large living room, an extensive sunset-facing deck with infinity pool and dining area, private gym, and a yoga and meditation lounge on the upper floor. A dedicated butler is on call around the clock to handle everything from customising dining experiences to arranging sandbank excursions, private cruises, and water activities. The Ocean Residence is particularly suited to families or groups who want to reconnect properly — the space and privacy allow genuine retreat rather than mere proximity.

Perks specific to Residence guests include a dedicated chef, a private half-day excursion on a resort vessel, and an outdoor cinema screen on the deck. Milaidhoo itself is a 30-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport, or a 15-minute domestic flight to Baa Atoll Dharavandhoo followed by a 15-minute speedboat. It is an emerald island rooted in local tradition, offering what the Indian Ocean does best: absolute removal from everything that normally competes for attention.
