Hermès has once again captivated watch enthusiasts with its latest creations at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025. Showcased in a mesmerising scenography designed by the house’s new artistic collaborator Sarah-Anaïs Desbenoit, the timepieces embody Hermès’ theme for the year: Le temps suspendu — suspended time. Desbenoit’s immersive installation invites viewers to experience the essence of suspended time.
Through an interplay of light, sound, and architectural elements, the scenography creates a sensory journey that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Visitors are transported to liminal places where time slows down, allowing for moments of contemplation and introspection. Three extraordinary watches redefine the concept of time.
The Arceau Le temps suspendu is a testament to Hermès’ ingenuity. With a simple push of a button, the hour and minute hands disappear, allowing the wearer to savour a moment of suspended time. The watch features a 43mm white gold case, a matte black alligator strap, and is powered by the Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement with a 50-hour power reserve.
The Hermès Cut Le temps suspendu showcases a unique interpretation of suspended time. The dial, crafted from black mother-of-pearl, features a cut-out design that reveals the intricate workings of the H1912 mechanical self-winding movement. The 39.5mm rose gold case is complemented by a supple Abysse blue alligator strap.
The Maillon libre bracelet watch exemplifies Hermès’ expertise in leather craftsmanship. The supple, hand-stitched Maillon libre strap, inspired by the brand’s iconic chain link design, seamlessly integrates with the 33mm stainless steel case. As Philippe Delhotal, Creative Director of Hermès Horloger, explains: our watches are an invitation to experience time differently, to appreciate the beauty of the present moment. The Le temps suspendu collection is a celebration of Hermès’ unique perspective on time — one that values emotion, spontaneity, and the joy of living in the present.
