InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort

Alex
June 23, 2026

Forty-five minutes from Dubai, Hayat Island in Ras Al Khaimah offers a combination of environments that is genuinely unusual: Arabian Gulf shoreline, terracotta desert, and mountains, with water features running throughout the island. The InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa is built to make use of all three. The 351 sea-view rooms, luxury suites, and seafront and beachfront private villas are all oriented toward the water, each with a spacious balcony or terrace and day beds designed for slow mornings.

Six dining destinations draw on the surrounding landscape — mountain, desert, and seascape — fusing UAE culinary traditions with current food thinking. The Lounge and Lobby Bars offer cocktail innovation and a serious whiskey selection. ShaSha, the al fresco poolside venue, serves frozen cocktails and ocean views to a DJ soundtrack, transitioning naturally into shisha and sunset as the afternoon moves on.

Spa InterContinental combines Eastern and Western treatments to support the idea of a healthy mind in a healthy body — separate facilities for men and women, an expansive Turkish hammam, and a naturally lit gym floor. Planet Trekkers and Teens Club handles younger guests with the specific aim of broadening their worldview. Beyond the resort itself, Ras Al Khaimah offers its own attractions: pearl-diving history, mangrove kayaking, Jebel Jais mountain, the world’s longest zipline, and camel trekking at sunset.
