Timur Akhmedov: Kaleidoscope

Alex
June 23, 2026

The Andakulova Gallery Dubai presents Kaleidoscope — a solo exhibition of work by Uzbek artist Timur Akhmedov, running from 8th June to September 2023 at DIFC. Akhmedov is known for compositions that explore the intricacies of human emotion and experience through a particular palette: Asian turquoise, warm ochre, and vibrant reds, combined in ways that produce what some observers describe as a sense of silence — the visual equivalent of watching a film without sound, where the absence of noise makes you attend more carefully to what is being shown. In Kaleidoscope, the human figure is transformed.

Bodies become arrangements of vivid colour, their specific details dissolved into something more universal — an emotion rather than a person, a state rather than a story. Visitors are taken into a world with no fixed boundaries where feeling is expressed through colour and form alone. The exhibition is both a showcase of Akhmedov’s talent and an opportunity to acquire work from one of Central Asia’s most interesting contemporary voices.
